Charles Trafton – Managing Partner and lead portfolio manager
Chuck is the founder and lead portfolio manager at FlowPoint Capital Partners, an investment management firm serving the needs of family offices and entrepreneurs. Chuck is responsible for implementing the FlowPoint investment strategy, leveraging 22 years of fundamental equity research experience in the education, financial, technology and health care sectors. He is lead manager of the FlowPoint Capital Partners fund, FlowPoint Global Unconstrained, K-20 Education Partners, LP and FlowPoint’s Ocean Road fund. His expertise is in investment strategy, fundamental and quantitative research, portfolio management, risk management and trading tactics. He is a frequent commentator regarding financial matters on CNBC, WSJ, Bloomberg, Institutional Investor and other leading media organizations.
Prior to founding FlowPoint, Chuck was a portfolio manager and analyst from 2006 to 2013 at The Boston Company Asset Management, a $55 billion asset manager. From 1994-2006 Chuck was an award-winning equity analyst, including being voted an Institutional Investor magazine “All-America Health Care Research Analyst” in 1997 at Canaccord Genuity (formerly Adams, Harkness & Hill) and a Greenwich Associates “4-Star” Analyst in 1996 at Cowen & Co. Chuck graduated cum laude from Boston College and lives in North Andover, MA with his wife and three children.
